Jungle Hike – Pic of the Day

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

panama jungleIt was about a year ago we were in Boquete, Panama hiking through the jungle with the hopes of coming up upon some exotic animals. I think the only animal we saw was a little lizard. Later we did get to see lots of cool animals in Costa Rica.

This time of year you can’t help but dream of warm tropical places.

Girl in the Clouds – Pic of the Day

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Sometimes shots look more glamorous than they actually are.   It was cold this morning at Sky Pond, located at about 11,000 ft. in Rocky Mountain National Park.  It took a bit of convincing to get her out on those rocks.

Excuse Station – Pic of the Day

Monday, September 28th, 2009

christinac_excusestn.jpg We arrived at the base of the the Reservoir Wall beneath the climb Excuse Station (5.11).  For the girls it would be more of a hand crack and perhaps would serve as a warm up.  I offered to go first so I could photograph the girls on the climb.  Excuse Station is so not a warm up for me.  It feels like solid 5.12 with my big hands.  One hundred and twenty feet of tight hands and finger stacks.  A brutal way to start the day.  I did get the rope on the climb and the photos were worth it though.
